Suspicious Vehicle Leads to Arrests of 2 Subjects Wanted out of Arizona

Odessa Police arrested Donovan Bingaman, date of birth 10/03/1997, on 2-1-19 at approximately 2122 hours for Theft of Property “State Jail Felony” and Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle “3rd Degree Felony”. Odessa Police also arrested Lizet Martinez, date of birth 06/11/1989, on 2-1-19 at approximately 2104 hours for Theft of Property “State Jail Felony” and False Identification – Fugitive from Justice “Class A Misdemeanor”.

On 2-1-19 at approximately 1205 hours, Odessa Police responded to 4210 North JBS Parkway (Wal-Mart) in reference to two suspicious subjects asking people for help. Upon arrival, officers observed two subjects matching the suspect’s description, occupying a gray Honda without any license plates. Officers asked the subjects why there was no license plates on the vehicle and began to run the VIN # to see if it was stolen.

The two subjects immediately evaded officers in the gray Honda. Officers turned on their lights and sirens but the listed vehicle refused to stop. Officers lost the listed vehicle but further investigation revealed that the two subjects had stolen a white Ford F-250 in the area of Highway 191 and Faudree. Another OPD officer located the stolen Ford F-250 in the 5000 block of East University. The driver was identified as Bingaman and the passenger was eventually identified as Martinez.

Investigation revealed that both subjects were wanted out of Casa Grande, AZ in connection to an aggravated assault charge. Based on the facts and circumstances presented during the investigation, both subjects were charged and arrested accordingly and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center.
